The Miami Heat suffered a 100-120 defeat at the hands of the Golden State Warriors, handing the Warriors their sixth consecutive victory. The matchup included a reunion for Klay Thompson, though Miami failed to match the Warriors’ offensive efficiency or sustain its own scoring efforts.

Miami’s struggles began with Giannis Antetokounmpo, who opted for long-range attempts rather than attacking the rim against Draymond Green. In the first half alone, he managed just nine shots, with half of those attempts coming from mid-range or beyond the arc. Though he typically averages 20 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists per game, his defensive effort appeared diminished, particularly after back-to-back road games.

While Giannis carried the offensive burden, Bam Adebayo had an unremarkable night despite logging 33 minutes of play. He took only five shots and finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds, failing to deliver the secondary scoring Miami needed in a tightly contested game. His limited contribution raised concerns about his ability to raise his performance when the team depends on him most.

Andrew Wiggins, once a top draft pick, managed just 29.7% from three-point range and was benched after the game. His struggles on both ends of the floor suggest the Heat may need to increase Pelle Larsson’s playing time to improve defensive positioning and spacing.

A rare bright spot emerged from Davion Mitchell, who injected energy in the fourth quarter. He finished with 22 points, eight assists, and a steal, shooting 63.6% from the field in the final period. His effort helped narrow the gap between the two teams.

The Heat’s shooting issues persisted, as the team managed only 29.5% from three-point range. Ryan Conwell provided a standout performance off the bench, playing a season-high 29:51 minutes and hitting 50%

The Warriors’ offense remained dominant, with Steph Curry leading the charge. Miami’s inability to disrupt the Warriors’ fast breaks or generate consistent offense left them unable to overcome the 20-point deficit that developed early in the game.
