Fan.Live and the Creator Sports Network have introduced an innovative way to engage with NFL games, utilizing live tracking data to produce immersive 3D visualizations. This new feature, launched during Sunday night’s Week 1 games, garnered nearly two million views.

The technology is built on official NFL data licensed through Genius Sports, processed by Fan.Live’s visualization tools, and disseminated via Creator Sports Network (CSN) channels. Approximately 50 creators employed this feature, sharing content across platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and Kick.

Although creators do not hold broadcast rights for live game footage, the tracking data enables them to generate virtualized game action from various angles. A standout feature, “Play the Play,” allows users to simulate on-field actions through a video game interface and receive performance evaluations. This interactive element provides fans with a unique way to engage with game content.

Fan.Live, formerly known as ARound, has transitioned its focus from in-stadium experiences to home viewing, significantly broadening its market reach. Josh Beatty, founder and CEO of Fan.Live, highlighted data and delivery as critical factors distinguishing sports technology solutions. Beatty emphasized that the shift to home viewing allows Fan.Live to tap into a global audience, transforming passive viewers into active participants in the sports experience.

CSN, with its network of over 2,000 creators, seeks to modernize distribution and reach a younger audience, as stated by its founder and chief product officer, Barrick Prince. Prince drew a parallel between CSN’s approach and the establishment of affiliate networks by traditional broadcasters like ABC, NBC, and CBS in the 1950s, but with a focus on digital creators rather than TV stations.
