Caleb Wilson, the Chicago Bulls’ forward, is set to face off against several top players this season, including AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, and Cameron Boozer. Wilson’s on-court mentality, which he describes as “ruthless,” has been compared to that of Michael Jordan, a former Tar Heel turned Bull.

Wilson’s drive and competitiveness were on display during the NBA Draft Combine, where he was asked about his mentality and approach to the game. He said he finds something to make each game personal, much like Jordan, and that he can’t be friends with someone off the court and then compete against them on the court.

Wilson will have the chance to back up his words when he faces off against Dybantsa, Peterson, and Boozer a combined eight times this season. The first matchup will be against Dybantsa on October 24, 2026, in the Bulls’ home opener.

Wilson and Dybantsa will also face off in an NBA Cup game and two more times during the regular season. This will be the first time the two have faced off, as they did not meet during their collegiate careers.

Wilson will first meet Peterson on December 16, 2026, at home, and then again on January 12, 2027, away. The two did meet in college, with Wilson’s team winning 87-74. Wilson had 24 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals in that game.

The matchup between Wilson and Boozer is expected to be one of the most highly anticipated games of the season, with the two players offering different styles and strengths. Boozer has fantastic fundamentals and a physical build, while Wilson offers tantalizing versatility and explosiveness.

As the season progresses, it will be interesting to see how these matchups play out and how Wilson’s mentality and competitiveness affect the games.

Wilson’s performance will be closely watched by fans and analysts alike, as he faces off against some of the best players in the league.
